Judge Ferguson is active in many community groups and projects.
Judge Ferguson is the current President of the Clayton County Bar Association and has held leadership roles in various community organizations.
Judge Pam Ferguson is seeking your support so she can continue her service as Clayton County Chief Probate Judge. She has served with honor and integrity. She is a servant leader and has served her community and the Clayton County Probate Court well.
Judge Pam Ferguson has served as the Clayton County Probate Judge since 2003 with honor and integrity. Judge Pam Ferguson has 31 years of legal experience in Probate matters. She is well respected for her knowledge and willingness to work hard by other Probate Judges across the state of Georgia. She has severed on various committees for the Probate Judge's Council during her years in office, including mental health and handbook/benchbook. She Chaired the Rules and Forms Committee for 9 years. These forms are vital to Probate Courts across the state as they enable both attorneys and pro se litigants to bring actions in Probate Court. She is one of a handful of Probate Judges who completed the Probate Judge's Certification. Judge Pam Ferguson received
the Special Recognition award from the Council of Probate Judges in both 2010 and 2015. This award is only provided to one Probate Judge each year.
Judge Pam Ferguson's desired to provide petitioners and litigants with the most thorough advice possible led to her arranging a local attorney to come to Probate Court twice a month to answer legal questions. This program operates without additional cost to the county and is free to the litigants. This program is also beneficial to the efficiency of Clayton County Probate Court as clerks are prohibited from providing legal advice.
Judge Ferguson is a life time resident of Clayton County and has served on various service organizations and is very involved in her church. Judge Ferguson has been married for 30 years and she and her husband Nick raised their three children in Clayton County. Judge Ferguson is honored to serve the community as Probate Judge and needs your vote to continue her service and dedication to Clayton County.
Judge Ferguson graduated from Morrow High School and attended Clayton State University. After completing her Law Degree at the University of Georgia School of Law, Judge Ferguson began working with her father, Monroe Ferguson. Judge Ferguson is hard working and dedicated to her community.
Judge Ferguson was honored by the Clayton County Commissioners for her efforts in establishing the "Visiting Friends" program.
When Judge Pam Ferguson sees a need or issue, she does what is necessary to address the problem. Judge Ferguson implemented the "Clayton County Visiting Friends" which matches a volunteer to an adult ward who has a guardianship case in Clayton County. There are several volunteers that serve in this program, but the Clayton County Probate Court is always seeking new volunteers. This program ensures these wards are being cared for properly. This program also provides important social interaction to those who may not otherwise have a visitor.
Judge Pam Ferguson is a vital part of Women of Clayton County (WOCC). WOCC is a service organization dedicated to making life better for all citizens of Clayton County. WOCC participated in the Red Sand Project to end human trafficking. The WOCC Gala raised funds to put books into the hands of all children in Clayton County.
Judge Pam Ferguson has been involved in Rotary for a number of years and has served in various leadership roles. Rotary is the world's largest service organization and performs service projects both locally and globally. Judge Pam Ferguson lives the Rotary Moto of service above self.
